Today is Chads birthday. Happy Birthday Chad! Last night after riding with some of the Failure team at Woodward East, Chad was driving his truck in the snow and slid down a hill and took out a sign and messed up his truck. He called me laughing about it. Chads ok but his truck isnt! Chad is stoked though cuz Cody York got a grip of photos for the new Failure site.

Failure art director East was in town for Scribble Jam and stopped by the System Cycle ramps to paint a mural on the wall ride. While he was there we shot a web video of him showing an easy way to custom paint your frame. Check out the video we edited below. We also are auctioning off the final painted frame that you see in the video on Ebay and all proceeds will be donated directly to Mike Aitken. The link to the frame on Ebay is below as well. Today was the Dirty East comp at The Flow skatepark. Myself, Joey Hill, Speds, Kevin Spanier, and Jeremiah Smith were all there and a good time was had. Jeremiah Qualified 2nd and ended up getting 2nd in the Finals. Good job Flyin Lion! Now the boys are off to Woodward camp to escape the cold weather and do some filming. Here are a couple pics from today.

Today is Amateur and tomorrow is Pro at The Flow skatepark in Columbus, Ohio. Failure is a sponsor and has a lot of cool prizes for the Amateur class today. Failure rider Raul Ruiz has been blowing up lately. He has a new web edit on DC shoes website, been filming with Justin Kosman for video clips, and shooting mass photos. He also is on the cover of the new BMX PLUS magazine which will be out soon. Here is our friend and bad ass rider Larry Alvarado with one of the first copies out there.

Jeremiah Smith is in town and has joined Kevin Spanier “FROG”, Joey Hill & Beard for some filming & photo sessions around town. Today they are at the System Ramps and yesterday they rode trails, street and Ollies. Cody York is coming to town tomorrow and they will be filming & shooting all week. They will be headed to the Dirty East contest this weekend at the FLOW. Check out the contest flyer below. Should be an awesome time. After that they are heading out with Cody York to Woodward to meet up with Seth Klinger and Chad Kagy for some more riding and filming/shooting. Should be a good trip! To celebrate another year of total Failure, SNAFU and FAILURE are throwing a video contest for Vital BMX members. For your chance at a piece of the action, just upload your video. Anything goes as long as it’s legal, and extra points will be awarded for stupid and dangerous. On December 15, the Beard’s top pick will win a brakeless FAILURE complete built with SNAFU parts. Ten runners-up will get a backpack filled with SNAFU and FAILURE components and accessories. The deadline to upload your video is December 10. The winners will be featured here December 15.
